Choosing between metal and resin candle holders is one of the first decisions brands face when developing a new range. Both are produced in-house at our Dongguan factory, so here is an honest, side-by-side comparison to help you brief your OEM/ODM supplier.

Metal candle holders

Metal holders are stamped, welded and finished from iron, steel or wire. They suit lanterns, tall floor holders, hurricanes and wire designs.

Resin candle holders

Resin (polyresin) is cast in moulds, which makes complex, sculptural shapes affordable at scale.

Not sure? Many of our clients combine both — a metal frame with resin detailing — to balance cost, detail and perceived value.

How to decide

Start from your retail price point and brand story. Premium, reusable and gifting lines usually lean metal; detailed, decorative and seasonal collections often favour resin. Then weigh order quantity against tooling — resin can be more economical for intricate shapes at lower volumes.

Because we run both metal stamping and resin casting under one roof, we can prototype in either material and advise on the trade-offs before you commit to tooling.
